How to program an on-board clock on your DE1 board

The following video tutorial will show you how to use the DE1 board and the Altera Quartus II Design Software (version 11.1) to take one of the on-board clocks, and divide it down to 1 Hz to use in your projects.

Although I use the most significant bit of the counter design to get 1 Hz, you may use any of the other outputs to get different frequencies.

The LPM_COUNTER is a very flexible programmable counter, and I'm only using a fraction of its capabilities here.

If you would like a copy of the DE1 Pinout Guide that I am using, you may find it here.

As usual, all comments and suggestions are welcome.
